An Explanation.

Salam & Hi.

Needless to say, as I don't really like to state the obvious, I'm writing this down to express something.

Situation A.

"Awak-awak senang la... Abah duit banyak!"

"Ayah awak baik, bukan macam ayah kitorang...."

"Result tak baik pun takde hal lah. Korang orang senang."

Situation B.

"Agak-agak kalau kita beli handphone, abah marah tak?"

"Kita ada RM30 je untuk survive sebulan. Challenge accepted!"

"Abah, ada jubah cantik dekat UIA. Boleh tak kita nak beli?"

Can you see the contradiction between these two situations? Ha?! Hmmm.

People always talk about something they see, externally. However have they ever tried to see things from that person's point of view? Have they ever walked along in that person's shoe? It is a little term called verstehen. Introduced by a Sociologist named Max Weber. Haaaa, ce google.

Sometimes, things are not always like what they seem to be.

We, for one, don't live in that luxurious life. It is hard for us, to ask extra money from our father. Refer to situation B. Yes, we ask for our parents' permission every time we want to buy something. The SitiSisters always have a hard time when they want to decide whether or not they should buy that particular thing. A 'secret' meeting between the SitiSisters.

To make things harder for the SitiSisters, our parents are no longer working.

Both of them have an early retirement.

Which means, our family no longer have monthly income.

Well, except for Kakak since she's the only one working. But she has just started a family so we understand that. BUT, even though she just got married, she still gives some of her salary to our parents. Every single month. We lebyu Kakak! (Walaupun dia tengah bercinta dengan Along. Hahaha *inside joke*)

In addition to this whole thing, our father is always being so extra-generous (hi abah, kita tahu abah baca blog kita hihi :p), it is hard for him to say 'No' to people around him. Which, eventually, allows people take him for granted.

This entry is just to clear things up. We don't understand why, people always seem to say that "Anak uncle mintak la apa je, mesti dapat!" because well, we sometimes feel guilty to ask for more. If Abah wants to treat us, sure, why not? Hiks. But yes, we know our limit. Especially in times like this, when Ummi is not around, (yes, she's away for Hajj, as a petugas haji. Ummi balik lagi 2 +/- minggu yay! Rindunya Ummi!) we even told our two littlest sisters who will be staying with Abah at home, to not spend too much even though we know this is the right time to spend excessively hahaha ok but we don't do that.

We still control our expenditures, we are still aware of our financial every semester. So please. Verstehen.

Bytheway, this isn't some kind of we-are-poor-please-help-us kind of thing haha. It is just to clear things up. The SitiSisters know, the ones who own the money we're holding are Abah & Ummi. Alhamdulillah, even with this whole thing, we still know how to manage our money. An indirect teaching from Abah & Ummi on how to save money, and we learn from it well.

In the end, the One who gives us the rizq is Al-Razaq. We're grateful, alhamdulillah.
