Disclaimer.

I tend to write for fun. There's no specific theme for this blog, thus the entries are vary. Some entries may be personal, some may not. But since I post them up publicly I guess that makes no difference.

Writing, is a way of expressing. This medium let mute people speak their minds. This medium let those with low self-esteem to be outspoken. This medium let those who endure every pain to release their tense.

Stitch.

Assalamualaikum wbt.

Most of us have watched this movie, haven't we?

Lilo & Stitch was first brought into existence in the year 2002. I was a primary school student, I was still into cartoons (still am, hihie) and of course, I was too naive to read in between the lines - as in, to see the movie from a different perspective, from different angle. So, my review today is solely upon Stitch.

Yes, Stitch. The blue alien. The one with an atrocious manners.

You see, when he first appeared in the movie, he didn't really make a good impression, did he? He was hyperactive, violent  and he could only be described negatively. That was until, he met a little girl named Lilo.

Lilo shone out the humanity out of Experiment 626. Little by little, Stitch became well behaved. He tried to befriend with those around him, even though they were disgusted by his monstrous look and his sharp teeth, he still tried his best. Then, most of the people on the island didn't see him as how he looked like, because they knew that behind that hideous look, there was a nice and sweet creature.

Hm apa kaitan cerita ni?

Well first and foremost, I tend to like Stitch. :)

Secondly, of course, all of us have been through renaissance, the "dark ages", revival, reform. We have gone through our jahiliyyah period. We went through the black hole. We did something, that made us regret. But that's the point, a Lilo came to us. A Lilo made us see sense. A Lilo saved us. In our case, it doesn't have to be one Lilo. We might have met two, three or even four Lilos. Lilo, changed us to a betterment.

So then Stitch, tried to befriend with the people on the island, but they tend to move away from him. They were afraid of him - his looks, his previous behaviours and such. They didn't trust him enough.

Humans. We tend to judge. First impression? Yes, that proved we judge. One always gets bad feedback because of his/her dark history, i.e : "Alah dia sekarang ni jadi macam awak dulu la, mesej budak lelaki non-stop, ikhtilat tak jaga..."

THAT'S the point. We don't live in the world where we used to live in anymore. Ten years ago I might have been a bully but right now, am no longer one. So why do people still label me as a bully? (Okay ini contoh semata, saya tak reti nak membuli.) But to look on the bright side, Stitch didn't give up to not let people be afraid of him. So as for us, do not give up on proving that we are no longer the old us. Work hard, until they forget our dark secret.

We deserve to live happily like Stitch. Even with a dark history. :)

Ps; While writing this entry, I tend to value Stitch more >,<
