Disclaimer.

I tend to write for fun. There's no specific theme for this blog, thus the entries are vary. Some entries may be personal, some may not. But since I post them up publicly I guess that makes no difference.

Writing, is a way of expressing. This medium let mute people speak their minds. This medium let those with low self-esteem to be outspoken. This medium let those who endure every pain to release their tense.

A Token of Gratitude.

It is a fitrah for a person to like hearing praises toward himself. Especially, after he had worked real hard to do something.

Or, in simpler words, a little something that brings huge meaning, an appreciation.

Thousands of littlest deeds, when you add them up, they become something huge, meaningful and beautiful :')

One.
You took a cab from the LRT Station to your destination. After you gave the driver the fare, before stepping out of the cab, "Terima kasih pakcik!" is something you said.

Who knew, that simple Terima Kasih! might make him smile all day, because he knew, despite his job as a cab driver, he plays an important role in the public transport society. He might never get a single Terima Kasih! from any of his passengers before.

Two.
You saw an elderly was carrying lots of plastic bags after she did some grocery shopping. You offered that granny a hand, took the plastic bags and put them inside the granny's car. "Terima kasih, nak.", she said before you departed. "Sama-sama, nek. Benda kecil je."

Of course, that simple Terima Kasih made you feel appreciated. Also, it made the granny to realize that there are still teenagers out there who still have manners in them. They don't just lepak around until midnight and stuff. They still say please and thank you.

Three.
Your friend stayed up just to accompany you finish up doing your assignment. She helped you paste the decorations in your scrapbook, helped you draw cartoons in it and such. But, her drawings were awful. She couldn't even cut the papers properly! So you scolded her for doing such a poor job on an important assignment.

But hey, it's the thought that counts. Do you stay up to help her? A simple thank you would make her feel appreciated. A simple thank you would make her feel loved, even. By YOU. I mean, isn't that big?

*

Who knows? Maybe today, they need to hear the token of gratitude but tomorrow, when we're deeply down and depressed, we try to help our friends but it turns out worse, we will be the ones who need a simple thank you. What goes around, will definitely comes around. Karma.
